The family-owned restaurant serving Portuguese cuisine in the historical center of Tallinn welcomes its guests with coziness and amazing gastronomic experiences. Tasca Portuguesa is a typical Portuguese restaurant that offers national traditional dishes, good wines and a nice cozy atmosphere. Tasca opened its doors last year and has become popular thanks to its uniqueness. Portuguese cuisine is simple, hearty dishes that use a lot of seafood, meat and spices. Traditional Portuguese dishes include bacalhau (cod fish) and thick caldo verde soup. Both are on the menu at Tasca Portuguesa as well as a variety of appetizers, salads, main courses and desserts. There are special dishes to share – sets of snacks for a bigger company.

Sara Caetano

Sara Caetano, who specializes in Portuguese cuisine, is responsible for the authentic taste of the dishes. She learned cooking from her grandmother and mother by helping them in the kitchen since she was a child. A lot of her recipes are generational what Sara has learned from family and friends. Sara´s interest is preserving old traditional recipes, some from far corners of Portugal that are less known and giving them a modern twist.
